Summertime Sequoia National Park Engagement Shoot | Hayley and Kevin’s PhotoDate

We met Hayley and Kevin for a beautiful summertime Sequoia National Park engagement shoot. The meadows were green, lush, and vibrant. The giant Sequoias provided shade for the warm summer day and served as the perfect backdrop for this PhotoDate. The best part of my day was when I asked these two how they met and how they started dating, their story made for laughter and joy that filled our afternoon. They are an adorable couple as we look forward to showing you in the photos below. New to Central California, Hayley and Kevin moved here for a few years of work and are making the best of it by visiting places like Sequoia. They’ll head back to Chicago to tie the knot in another forest setting surrounded by their loved ones.

We experienced a few challenges on our shoot, as it turned out it was a free day in the park which made for larger crowds than usual and there was also an over population of mosquitos. I love seeing how couples handle the twists and turns of life. Hayley and Kevin didn’t complain. They went with the flow, followed us to some more secluded locations when we needed to avoid crowds, and lovingly swatted mosquitos off each other. Cheers to love, it sure helps us all handle just about anything! Congrats to Hayley and Kevin, may your love continue to grow as massive as a Sequoia tree. Enjoy the engagement!
