Mariposa Outdoor Wedding | Bright and Cheerful

We’ve been counting down to this Mariposa Outdoor wedding for awhile, probably since our friend Jenn first introduced us to Kyle on a rafting trip about 6 years ago. He was the perfect hilarious and passionate compliment to her sweet steadiness. He was the instantly lovable companion to a friend we knew deserved the best. We went our separate ways, lived in a few different states, only to end up in each others presence again in Visalia for the past few years. Jenn and Kyle moving to town was a pretty exciting development only topped by seeing them tie the knot this past weekend. We were lucky enough to see the two as they began to chat about their vision for their wedding and now are elated to have seen it come true. We are even more excited to watch them continue to grow in their marriage even though now we must do so from afar again. As we head out our separate ways both leaving Visalia and onto different adventures, I know I will cherish the time we had with them near by. We’ve witnessed the strength of their relationship, the joy that they each bring to the other, and the playfulness with which they approach the seriousness of life. They’ve also taught us that tacos are as important as communication to a relationship. Seeing the love of their friends and family reminds us that we are lucky to be counted among them. One of the things I heard most this weekend was how much Jenn and Kyle deserved a perfect wedding day. It’s not only because they’ve been through a lot, which they have, it’s because they are great people who love those around them unconditionally.

Jenn and Kyle’s wedding was a bright a cheerful event. The colors and decorations complimented their joy, the delicious taco bar told volumes about their priorities, and the bridal party looked absolutely smashing (in my completely biased opinion.) I wouldn’t recommend being a bridesmaid/photographer for a variety of reasons: trying to take photos with tears in your eyes, exhaustion from climbing and hiking at Jenn’s Yosemite Bachelorette Boot Camp, and of course the inability to pick only a few favorite photos from they day. Cheers to the happy couple, thanks for throwing such a fun party! You do indeed deserve it!

Congrats Jenn and Kyle, what a day! We’re sure you’re off enjoying your honeymoon and recovering from the festivities. Thanks to Hannah Wakerman and the staff at Kal Estates and BB’s catering for making this wedding happen, everything was awesome. Jenn’s Auntie and her helpers did an amazing job on the flowers and Jenn’s hair.
