Intimate Zion National Park Wedding Photography

Gina and Bob had an intimate Zion National Park wedding surrounded by their family and the stunning views of the red canyons that make Zion so majestic. When Gina and I first spoke about their plans for a destination wedding, I couldn’t be more excited about what they had in mind for photography.

We love seeing the unique ways that couples chose to celebrate their love. More and more the rules of a traditional wedding are being thrown out the window in exchange for following ones heart. Gina and Bob got married in the natural Temple of Sinawava, had lunch with their families, and then hiked with us to watch sunset overlooking the canyon.

Zion National Park is a natural playground. Gina said it best when she felt called to leave the path and climb up some rocks, “it makes me feel like a kid.”

It’s the same urge I get to skip through a meadow or run around on the beach. When my surroundings are so stunning that I forget any of the things I’m supposed to do. I forget to control my excitement, I forget to act “too cool” to love something. I drop all preconception and yell, yip, or howl at the moon!

When I asked Bob about his experience skydiving he described giggling uncontrollably like he hadn’t in years! A true laugh, true joy overtaking you. That’s experiencing the earth as a playground rather than a sidewalk.
