Trisha and Keith’s Mountain Engagement PhotoDate | Sequoia National Park Engagement

This Sequoia National Park Engagement was a reminder to me of why I love a rainy day in the mountains. Moments before we met up with Trisha and Keith we were driving through a rainstorm picturing shooting all of their engagement photos with an umbrella in hand. The rain stopped as we met them in the parking lot and headed to the river. Two things on Keith and Trisha’s wish list for the shoot were views and water. By looking at the foggy post-storm sky we weren’t sure we would get a view but water was in no short supply. The fog was beautiful, the lighting perfect, and the couple adorable. Hanging out in Sequoia could never get old and showing people from out of town some of favorite spots is probably the best part. I love watching people experience the big trees. We got a special treat too as a few young deer were playing tag in the meadow. I’ve never seen deer play with each other like that, watching them run and jump rendered all of us speechless for a few moments.

We’re pretty excited to meet up with the winners of the “best dressed in Sequoia award” for their wedding this August. They are the cutest couple with great smiles and even better laughs. They never questioned our request to climb up on that rock or down that bank. They made everything look natural, even in heels. When a couple is this easy to be around and we can tell they simply adore each other, we never want the day to end. We did get our view in the form of a bright red sun appearing below the clouds. We can’t control the weather and we’ve had a few shoots lately that prove enduring a storm is worth the reward. It makes for a pretty good analogy for marriage. Not everyday is blissful and easy, sometimes its going through life’s challenges together that makes a relationship strong. We wish Trisha and Keith all the post-storm sunsets life has to offer! See you two soon, hope you enjoy this preview of an epic Sequoia National Park engagement:
