Rocky Mountain National Park Alpine Engagement Photography

We were pretty excited to access Trail Ridge Road when it opened this weekend for Eric and Krissy’s Rocky Mountain National Park alpine engagement. Being that we had a pretty snowy spring, getting up high this time of year is pretty phenomenal. I was slightly concerned when we got out of the car to encounter extreme winds and bitter cold. As it turned out, I didn’t need to fret since Krissy and Eric were having an absolute blast. To them, it only added to the adventure and I’m pretty sure nothing could have dampened their love, joy, and playfulness anyway. The mountains are absolutely stunning right now, the elk were out in abundance, and the rain came and went treating us to awesome clouds and even a rainbow! Couples come to us sometimes and tell us they aren’t photogenic or are that they concerned about posing and looking awkward. The truth is, one of our favorite things about working with couples is that some of that stuff is simply taken care of due to chemistry. We don’t work with models, we work with real couples and try to capture the essence of their love. Eric and Krissy are the perfect example. This couple laughed, kissed, hugged, and did numerous other adorable things without us even having the chance to coach. I believe that they were determined to have fun during the PhotoDate and that it shows in the pictures. Eric and Krissy were a blast to hang out with, to photograph, and to witness. Their love is beautiful and definitely exudes a contagious joy. I also think the make great models for The North Face!

Congrats on the engagement! We wish you the best for the future of this relationship and see awesome things ahead for a couple that makes the best of every situation. The way you handled the changing weather and crazy wind makes me certain you’ve found your home both in Colorado and in each other.
