This Glenwood Colorado proposal photography is from last month and somehow because we don’t photograph that many proposals we haven’t gotten around to sharing it on the blog yet. Today is the day! It is quite an honor and experience to be in on someone’s secret. Kevin is a super hero for planning, arranging, and surviving a secret proposal plan. It’s amazing to watch someone so nervous about asking a question they already know the answer to. There was no doubt Kim was going to say yes but Kevin wanted everything to be perfect. He picked a place that was important to them, he threw her off the scent by saying that he would never propose on vacation, and then he had us waiting in just the right spot at just the right time to capture her disbelief, followed by her shock, followed by her undeniable joy.

As we casually and stealthily hung out on the walkway trying our best to act natural, I might have been as nervous as Kevin. Ok, so that’s a lie. No one has ever been as nervous as Kevin for any reason. But needless to say I was worried about my camera being seen, ruining the surprise, or invading the intimacy of the moment. As I crouched down and got close to capture Kim’s emotion of the moment, she had eyes for no one but Kevin. And Kevin, we’ll he was the only one in the world happier than Kim! Happy to have the surprise behind him, to have his future wife on his arm, to have successfully surprised her, and to have made her shed tears of joy. Thanks to this happy couple, for trusting us and allowing us into their hearts. We’re so happy for you and appreciate sharing in your joy.

Congrats to the happy couple! In the end it doesn’t matter which knee you get down on, which finger you put the ring on, or how many times we have to change the time or location because of weather and other elements. In the end, you’re together!
