Breckenridge Colorado Mountain Engagement Shoot

Nick and Jane were a blast to explore Boreas Pass with. Their Breckenridge Colorado mountain engagement shoot was complete with Aspen tress, mountain views, and a little afternoon rain. They weren’t daunted by the rain clouds and were therefore rewarded with an epic sunset. Nor were they bashful about sharing their story. I, however, was stunned.

Being a wedding photographer, I’ve heard some romantic and adorable love stories. I’ve been swept off my feet and said my share of “oooo’s.” Nick certainly stopped me in his tracks when he started telling me about his long term proposal plan. Meaning he started planning his proposal only months after he met Jane even though he wouldn’t propose until years later. Nothing says love like knowing someone’s the one long before you’re at a place in the relationship to tell them.

More important than Nick’s proposal, however, is the look on Jane’s face when she brings it up. Her beautiful smile get’s even bigger, her sparkling eyes get even brighter, and the way she looks at him makes me love my job even more. Hanging out and getting to know these two was a blast, witnessing their love for one another was a treat! See if you can’t tell from these pictures how much they love and support each other. That, my friends, is what marriage and partnerships is about.

Cheers to this amazing couple for their love story but also their reality. As Jane said, it’s like something out of a movie. The thing about our job is that we get to see the love stories, the relationships that work out, and the happy endings. Finding the right person isn’t always easy, smooth, or effortless. It also isn’t impossible and it isn’t as rare as we pretend it is. Thanks to Jane and Nick for reminding me, and surely everyone their love impacts, that love stories stem from reality and that life is good!
