Colorado Mountain Engagement Session

For Jaron and Lindsey’s Colorado mountain engagement session we headed to Guanella Pass. Little did we know at the time we suggested it that Mt Beirstadt was the first 14er that they climbed together. I have to point out a few key things here: 1. Our couples climb 14ers! 2. Our couples climb 14ers together! In case I haven’t mentioned it lately, (unlikely) we feel extremely grateful for the fact that a big part of our job is getting to know rad couples like this Lindsey and Jaron.

This adventurous couple may have been to this location before. They may have huffed, puffed, and broken a sweat scrambling over boulders to get to the top of the mountain. But one thing I guarantee is that they didn’t do it dressed like this and in celebration of their engagement! We coined a new term that day which we are thinking might catch on for Colorado mountain wedding dress code: “rugged elegant.” Or as Marc re-named it when he posted on instagram “rugged sexy!”

Thanks Jaron and Lindsey for such a fun evening above 11000 feet. Thanks for laughing at our terrible jokes, braving the cold, and making our job easy by being so in love. Modeling isn’t an easy job but doing it with the one you love makes it worth it! You’re about to see two beautiful people, but something we’ve noticed over the years of photographing couples is that beauty is more than what we see with the eye. It has something to do with the heart!

This Colorado mountain engagement session was a reminder of the beauty and access we have in this beautiful state. The fact that we can get these views and climb these mountains is truly something to be grateful for. As Evergreen Colorado wedding photographers, locations like this are only a short drive away! (Maybe a short drive and a short hike!)
