Top 3 Breathtaking Colorado Wedding Destinations -

Photographing weddings means we get to work with happy couples, dressed in their best, surrounded by their loved ones, and immersed in the beauty of the destination they chose as the setting for their fairytale. As December takes hold complete with cold temperatures, we’re overjoyed to be living and working in Colorado. While we still frequently travel to California, we’ve really enjoyed our first wedding season here in the Colorado Rockies. Every wedding venue we’ve had the pleasure to photograph contains some special gem making it an ideal backdrop for someone’s love story. Being lovers of the outdoors and adventurers, for us a great wedding location provides scenery that causes one to pause and appreciate the moment. There’s something about being present in a moment that allows me to simultaneously think of all the moments that led me there and all the moments that are bound to follow. That’s why we’re talking today about three of our favorite breathtaking Colorado wedding destinations. Like falling in love took your breath away, so should some of your wedding planning decisions. For some it’s trying on the wedding dress and for others it’s picking the perfect location to say “I do.”

Breckenridge, Colorado

For many, Breckenridge is all about the winter season when we’re hitting the slopes. I grew up skiing and snowboarding there and thought that I was fairly familiar with the resort and the town. It wasn’t until this summer, experiencing Breckenridge in a completely different way that I appreciate the views for how they can emphasize the epic qualities of love. There’s nothing like being on top of the world when you are feeling on top of the world.

Vail, Colorado

Vail may be known for the ski resort and the village with plenty to do especially for a ski town. However, a short ways off the grid and you’re in beautiful mountain country where the great wide open has the power to fill you with awe. That combination makes Vail an awesome wedding destination. You get away while still having plenty for your guests to do.

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

Rocky Mountain National Park is a must visit for adventurous spirits, the rugged beauty offers limitless exploration while providing very accessible views. The town of Estes Park boasts numerous wedding venues ready to help you plan a wedding beneath the Rockies. Every visit we’ve taken to the park has offered something new. Every season is different and every couple we’ve experienced the park with sees the place with a different perspective.
