Taylor and Matt’s Rocky Mountain NP Elopement | On Love and Gratitude
Taylor and Matt are absolutely adorable and adventurous. This couple stole our hearts with an e-mail describing a challenging year that resulted in the realization that it was time to get married! What truly won us over though was not their story of hardship but they way they framed it with a focus on the positive: being able to hike again, him being by her side through everything, their love remaining solid if not growing stronger. Too often we all play the old โwoe is meโ tune rather than one of gratitude. Well, this past Thanksgiving weekend Taylor and Matt taught us a whole lot about teamwork, love, and yes that ever-elusive gratitude that Thanksgiving is supposed to be about. Thanks so much for allowing us to be there to capture your Rocky Mountain NP elopement!
Weโre excited to share these photos of Taylor and Matt exploring Rocky Mountain National Park on their wedding day. If you canโt tell by the photos or by the fact that itโs now November, it was freezing outside. I observed Matt, the ever-attentive new husband, checking in on his bride numerous times to see if she wanted a jacket or anything else. I also witnessed Taylor bearing the cold with a smile and a mantra of โno pain, no gainโ or something to that effect. The truth is that sometimes we have to endure some discomfort, sometimes we have to hustle and work hard, sometimes we have to get through, but if we can do all that then weโve earned our dreams! I read a quote the other day, โThe dreams is free, but the hustle is sold separately.โ What I love about that quote and this couple is that they are able to find gratitude on the hard/cold days, not just the ones where everything is sunny! Congrats you two!
