Yosemite Taft Point Elopement Photography | Kristina and Nicholas

Kristina and Nicholas are completely adorable. We couldn’t get over how fun they were to explore Yosemite with. As Kristina shed dainty tears during their ceremony and Nicholas gazed at her with his winning smile we couldn’t help but get swept away with the joy of the day. We can’t wait to share their Yosemite Taft Point elopement photography with you!

To top it off, mother nature was shining on us everywhere we went. Glacier Point road threatened to be closed due to a storm that never really came. It wasn’t until the morning of that we knew we would be able to make it there.

Kristina was feeling somewhat dramatic about it, her words, in the most adorable way. As it turns out our back up ceremony site was exceptional. Glacier Point road even opened just in time for us to hike to Taft Point for sunset.

This Yosemite Taft Point elopement photography is bound to take your breath away. We had some of the most amazing light to shoot in all day long. Combine that with this adorable couple and we’re talking photographers dream!

winter light

There’s something about winter light when the sun is low in the sky. It kisses along the edges of the massive granite walls and makes Yosemite even more magical.

Add to it that this storm left just the right about of clouds for an epic sunset. Everyone deserves an amazing wedding day so I fear sounding cliche tacking that on to this description. Regardless, Kristina and Nicholas had an excitement and passion for their wedding that was reflected by their surroundings.

A few more thoughts I have to share. I love that Kristina looked so stunning, it’s their wedding day after all. I also love that she wore Merrell hiking shoes and fleece pants under her dress! (We were watching sunset at Taft Point in November after all.)

I also loved watching her get ready, a job many brides have an entourage to help with. (I did get to step in as proud temporary maid of honor and do a little emergency sewing on her dress.) The fact that couple invite us into their lives on such an important day and allow us to see them emotional and vulnerable is something I hope to never take for granted.
