Tahoe Destination Wedding Photography

Sharing Allie and Scotty’s Tahoe destination wedding photography is something I’ve been looking forward to, even before we shot the photos. I call it a destination wedding, but Tahoe is like a second home to them and one that we’re grateful they were willing to share for their wedding weekend. If you recall, there maybe have been some adventure involved during their skiing Colorado winter engagement shoot. It’s pretty impressive that these two can play in the mountains with the best of them and then clean up to be this elegant and beautiful. Seriously. Elegant and beautiful!

The beauty and warmth of the day was topped only by the warmth of the people. These two are surrounded by some pretty special friends and family members. The laughter of the ceremony was topped only by the tears. The siblings turned officiants wowed us with their mastery in weaving together both jokes and heartfelt messages. The dance floor was never empty even though our stomachs were full, but not too full to eat homemade ice cream sandwiches.

It’s an honor to call these two friends, to have known them for so long and witness their relationship grow. They are both great listeners especially during long hikes, they each have a talent for making you laugh and feel loved. Somehow they are both silly and playful while being serious and driven people. They have balance in their own lives and now they come together to balance each other even further. They are practical dreamers, they are full of youthful wisdom, and they are fierce friends. I have no doubt their adventures will take them far and yet encourage them to return home.

Allie and Scotty planned and executed a weekend full of fun, joy, food, and adventure. There might have been some late night shenanigans as well. We loved reconnecting with our college friends and we were overjoyed to be welcomed so enthusiastically by all of their family and friends. Thank you Allie and Scotty for an amazing weekend! Hopefully you felt held and surrounded by the love that your bond created. I’m glad we kicked off your marriage in style! It’s now time for me to say what words can’t!
