Salt Lake City Destination Wedding

Today is a pretty great day! Today we get to share photos from Kathy and Drew’s Salt Lake City destination wedding. Of course the wedding day itself was probably a better day than today but one of the perks of my job is that I get to re-live the day after everyone has gone home. Kathy and I have been friends since our first year of college. We’ve been climbing and backpacking together many times. It’s amazing to know someone that long, to see them grow, and then to be at their wedding day. Kathy has always been fun-loving, spunky, and supportive. We were elated when she found Drew. He matched her in his ability to be silly, joyful, and a true friend. We were ecstatic when they asked us to both attend and photograph their wedding.

They live very serious professional lives saving animals and driving at fast speeds but to me serious doesn’t quite describe them. Not even close. Not when I know how they can bust a move on a dance floor or make shadow puppets on a camping trip. And yet somehow when our dog needed dental work or we had more serious dog health questions I couldn’t imagine calling anyone else. Luckily, they trusted us professionally as well because capturing their day was pretty special for us.

Kathy is tough. She’s strong, resilient, and full of life. She also cleans up quite well. Over the past few years we’ve seen her looking stunning at a handful of weddings, she even connected us with some of her friends to be their photographers. Kathy and Drew have been endlessly supportive of us, our lives, and our business. Kathy made the most beautiful bride, as I knew she would. Drew made the most joyful groom, as I knew he would. And as anticipated, they both danced the night away surrounded by friends and family. Cheers you two! May your marriage continue like an epic dance party or the perfect mountain bike ride. Exhausting? Perhaps. Exhilarating? Definitely! Serious? Only when you need to be. Congrats!
