Winter Vail Engagement Shoot

This winter Vail engagement shoot has rekindled my love for love. I have a few very important yet perhaps obvious things to say about this couple. I loved photographing them and I loved talking with them! I loved hanging out, exploring, and just generally being around them! And perhaps most importantly, I loved watching them be together. See if you can use the word love that many times in only a few sentences, but that’s the business we’re in. Sometimes the wedding industry can make us feel like we’re in the business of dresses, shoes, table scapes, and lawn games. In reality, even though weddings are (sometimes) big events that require coordination and planning they are also celebrations of relationships. They are an outward expression of an inward feeling and a kicking-off of something much bigger, a marriage and a life together.

Spending time with Adam and Heather during their winter Vail engagement shoot involved a lot of laughter and joy. It involved some cuddling to keep each other warm. And it most definitely involved sparks, various kinds of sparks. We could tell that they cared about their photos but they weren’t stressed about them and they trusted us to create them. They allowed themselves to focus on having fun together in a place that has become special to them. I find that the wedding planning process can either be stressful or it can be connecting, uniting, and strengthening. Adam and Heather are planning their wedding from a place of excitement and love which is creating a memorable experience of this time in their relationship. They are both present and forward-looking, enjoying this time together and laying a foundation for the future. Of course, these are just the observations of a hopeless romantic. Perhaps I just love this couple so much because they remind me of us since they seem to have a lot of fun together! Tell me what you think after viewing their preview!
