Red Rocks Engagement Session

Raif and Linda met up with us last week for a little Red Rocks engagement fun. We had a blast exploring the park with them and got a work-out too since it seemed a popular day to visit thus requiring a hike from a far parking lot. I suppose it is true that we generally say working for a photo is worth the effort! It was a gorgeous day, the kind where it seems like a different season depending on whether you are in the shade or out of it. Raif and Linda made the afternoon a gratifying one since they are both engaging to photograph and to talk to. We always love the time we get to spend with couples not only getting to know them photographically but watching them interact with one another and getting to talk to them ourselves. These two are adorable and are going to make quite the husband and wife team!

The Red Rocks amphitheater is a stunning place with both natural and man-made beauty so it’s no wonder why it’s a popular place to visit. We saw both tourists and athletes enjoying the space in a variety of ways as we explored and enjoyed the views. Even though we have met Raif and Linda a few times, I never noticed their height difference before as they seem to fit together so seamlessly. Therefore, it made me chuckle when I went to photograph them and realized that some of my initial posing directions didn’t actually make sense. That’s one of the things I love about working with couples, every couple is unique. Which is probably why our posing directions are actually minimal and we defer to letting couples interact with each other as only they know how. I loved watching the way they look at each other, I loved hearing Raif’s stories and realizing the sheer quantity of knowledge this guys head contains. He’s certainly a lucky man as you will see soon as he’s found the perfect partner in the beautiful and intelligent Linda. We’re excited to share these photos with you!
