Katie & Mike’s Intimate Boulder Colorado Wedding
My eyes are watering as I prep these photos for the blog. Partially because Spring has clearly arrived in Colorado and partially because Katie and Mike’s intimate Boulder Colorado wedding was such a joyous event. They said their vows at Chautauqua joined only by their immediate families. (And of course their wedding photographers / self-appointed honorary family members.) It’s was incredible to witness these amazing friends so incredibly happy.
From the day we met Katie, she has had a special place in our hearts. Like us, she’s danced around from Seattle, to California, finally landing here in Colorado. Her family has a way of making us feel deeply loved. It is the type of friendship and connection that life is about. Needless to say, that when Katie fell in love with Mike, so did we. The way he makes her smile. The way he keeps his kitchen clean and organized. These are signs of a truly great guy!
We are beyond excited to share this preview from their wedding day, you might recognize this couple from this cozy Colorado mountain wedding styled shoot. They made their wedding day feel both easy going and yet very important. It was a commitment that seemed to feel very natural to them though they weren’t going to take it lightly. While they didn’t stress about centerpieces, they had a few perfect personal touches. Like her mother before her, Katie wore red shoes with her wedding dress. All of their family members spoke heartfelt words during the ceremony. We loved seeing Katie and Mike surrounded by so much love and joy. Cheers you two, we wish you many epic family dance parties ahead!
