Genesee Colorado Wedding at the Pines

This one is pretty special! The bride Mariko and I met back in gradeschool, lost touch as ten year olds do when they’re not going to the same school anymore, and then reconnected thanks to the power of facebook. When Mariko and Craig reached out to us about shooting their wedding, I was overjoyed. I was nostalgic and felt like a kid again, what better welcome home to Colorado present than to get to photograph the wedding of an old friend?! What was more fun was seeing them in person in January, seeing the stunning woman Mariko has become, and meeting her amazing husband Craig. They are both brilliant as well as beautiful and we loved helping them celebrate this Genesee Colorado wedding at The Pines.

Who would have known that in one speech a groom could make you laugh with a cleverly timed vet joke and the next minute bring you to tears with endearing words to his new wife? Everything was perfect from the weather to the dances and we were overjoyed to see this couple so happy on their wedding day. Their friends and family made sure that these two had an amazing wedding day and now we wish them the best on their honeymoon. Cheers to Dr. Mariko Agena and Dr. Craig McShaffry, may your marriage be the next adventure and the first of many more.
